finding balance;

This exhibition is a collection of objects that each explore an aspect of the idea of finding balance.

In weaving, vertical threads (warp) that are set on loom are interlaced with horizontal threads (weft) to create an even tensioned cloth. The making of each object, approached as an experiment, provided a method of learning about balance.

The works use materials that were made available as a result of imbalances in our sociopolitical system and provide a way of exploring similar imbalances within ourselves.

This balance must extend to the relationship between all objects in the exhibition; viewed in its entirety as a fabric of interconnection.
